What a summer it’s been. We thought it would be another great year of few to no fires.
Then it hit. Our hearts go out to those who have been misplaced and or lost their
homes to the fires, and to our fearless fire fighters risking their lives to save property
and controlling the fires.
Here at The Rise, we were able to enjoy our annual Summer BBQ. We welcomed over
70 attendees who enjoyed hamburgers, hotdogs, and delicious salads and desserts.
Our residents Floyd and Rick provided the music which saw some dancing on the
pavement. We were excited to have Adam our local magician dazzle us with his skills.
It is always a pleasure to have the Salvation Army Vernon’s Food Bank make their
presence known and provide Risers the opportunity to support their work.
Upcoming events include our Christmas luncheon, date and time to follow. And it’s
never too early to look forward to the Rise and Shine Pancake Breakfast in May 2027.

With the recent purchase of the landscaping and snow removal services Rent Charge,
your RCA board has decided to change the year end of The Rise Community
Association to December 31. Therefore, our Annual General Meeting will be held late
February or early March 2027. Stay tuned for updates once that is confirmed.

Our Mission
The purpose of the RCA is to act as an advocacy group to represent the individual and collective interests of the property owners at The Rise.
These interests include but are not limited to the continued development(s) of The Rise to completion, community living standards, and communication with various levels of government regarding matters that may affect The Rise community.
In addition, a significant object of the RCA is to foster community spirit and pride through initiatives such as socials, charitable causes, welcoming program, community programs, safety programs, and periodic newsletters.
The Rise Community Association
The Rise Community Association (RCA) is a registered society, managed by volunteers.
It was established to act as an advocacy group representing the individual and collective
interests of The Rise. RCA exists to communicate with land developers, City of Vernon
administration, and to foster community spirit and pride through initiatives such as social
gatherings, charitable causes, and welcoming and safety programs.
The Rise is a Block Watch Community. Acting as the “eyes and ears” for our local
RCMP to reduce theft and vandalism. Strengthening bonds and trust among people
living on the same street and community. Maintaining a shared contact list and
communication network in our community to alert one another about local safety
concerns.
Most recently, RCA purchased the assets of BVSL to own the Rent Charge on title.
RCA engaged Accent Property Management to manage the administration, the
landscaping, irrigation and sidewalk snow removal services provided to our
homeowners. Monthly fee’s are currently $147 per month for landscaped lots and
$52.50 for undeveloped lots.
Membership in The Rise Community Association (RCA) is restricted to properties which
have the OLD Bella Vista Services Ltd (New RCA) Rent Charge on title (Phase 1 of the
Rise). RCA voting and participating in social gathering events requires membership is voluntary, and fees are currently $30 per year. Social events include the annual Rise and Shine Breakfast in
the spring, the Rise and Shine BBQ mid-summer and our Christmas luncheon in
December.
